Another new Family Physician has been successfully recruited to the Shelburne area and will soon start accepting new patients.
South West Health is pleased to welcome Dr. Afroza Begum to Shelburne. Dr. Begum completed her Doctor of Medicine from Dalhousie University in 2012 and Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from Dhaka Medical College, Bangladesh in 2004. She did her Family Practice Residency at the University of British Columbia.
People in Shelburne County who do not currently have a primary health care provider (Family Physician or Nurse Practitioner), and who are interested in becoming a patient of Dr. Begum, please note:
Dr. Begum’s office will accept patients by phone on Thursdays & Fridays
between 8:30 & 11:30 a.m. only. Call 902-875-4331

I hopefully now have all copies of the petition to resurface the road through Argyle. There were 462 names collected, I still have a sheet at my office in Tusket in case you’d still like get your signature listed.
I’m including the letter that I just wrote to the Minister of Transportation and the petition as of Friday September 5th.
The petition will be tabled in the house of assembly on Tuesday September 30th.
